Carp and catfish are invasive species in many parts of the world. They can be difficult to catch with bait alone, but this recipe is a great way to get them on your line!

This bait combo includes chow millet, attracting these fish with an earthy smell. The peach flavoring with corn syrup will give off a sweet scent that carp love!

Carp fishing has been popular for decades as they tend to feed heavily towards dusk and dawn when little natural light is out. Catfish and Carp are mostly bottom dwellers, so they prefer slower-moving water where they can find their bait on the water's floor.

This is a how-to make a trout chow / hulled millet pack bait combo. It perfectly attracts the big carp and catfish into your swim. In upcoming times, carp fishing could give you the edge on your pack bait vs. your opposition. Chow operates fantastically, but millet also operates on its own.

I recommend using a large bucket to mix the chow pack bait easily.

Carp Chow millet pack bait steps

Step 1: Mix the dry ingredients well together in a bucket.

Step 2: Measure out 16 ounces of corn syrup and microwave for 45 seconds.

Step 3: Add the desired flavor to the corn syrup and mix it in.

Step 4: Mix flavored corn syrup into dry ingredients.

Step 5: Let the mix rest for a few hours.

The chow millet pack bait is brilliant for baiting up your swim. Making the bait the day before your fishing trip gives me the best results.

Roll the bait into balls and place them in the area you will be fishing. The Carp chow mix will attract the big fish into your swim and give you the best chance of catching.

Other baits carp love are Monster squid boilies, be sure to add them to your fishing backpack on your next trip to gain an advantage over your prey.

Good luck and have a great fish!
