Lake O’ the Pines
Lake O’ the Pines is a reservoir, located on Big Cypress Bayou (a.k.a. Big Cypress Creek), in Marion County, Texas.
The reservoir covers up to 76 km2/29 mile2 of water and 36 km2/14 mile2 of land.
Lake O’ the Pines is famous for its massive catfish (blue, flathead and channel catfish). Legends say that long time ago monstrous catfish were caught here, but evidence hasn’t been provided yet.
